Biography
When I was in high school, I wanted to become a professional tuba player for the Chicago Symphony. I pursued my music performance degree at Valdosta State. During one of my classes where I had to observe band directors, it was then I had a passion for influencing students for a love of music.
After graduating from Valdosta State University, I taught middle school and high school band for six years. My career led me to become a youth and music pastor, which I did for 16 years. I returned to the education field in 2014, where I became the music teacher at Hilltop Elementary School.
Since returning, I have completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University and my Education Specialist’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.
I love golf, snow skiing, and anything to do with THE FLORIDA GATORS!!! I have been married to my sweetheart since 1995. I have three incredible kids: Tyler 23, Hunter 19, and Annlei 9 going on 19.
Since 2020, I have had the privilege of serving as the Assistant Principal of Discipline for Matt Arthur. Together, I believe we can shape all students to achieve the highest of goals.
