I was born and raised in the small town of Caribou, Maine. My parents were both educators. After graduating from Caribou High School, I attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in Stockholm, Maine in 1990, where I taught Kindergarten for half a day and Special Education for the other half. Several years later I decided to go back to school to obtain a Master's Degree in Special Education and then a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University.
My husband was in the US Air Force, and we moved to Warner Robins in 1999. I began teaching Special Education at Eagle Springs Elementary in January of 2000 and remained there until May of 2014. My husband has since retired and works in Civil Service at RAFB. We have been married for 25 years and we have two sons, Brandon and Zachary. In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading and watching movies.
I am so honored to be a part of Matt Arthur Elementary School!!
